DUNBARTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MINUTES OF MEETING
THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 2005
TOWN OFFICES – 7:00 P.M.
The regularly scheduled weekly meeting of the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen was held at the above time, date and place with Chairman Charles Graybill presiding. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Charles (Chuck) Graybill at 7:00 p.m. The following were present:

The
Selectmen reviewed correspondence and signed checks prior to the Public Meeting
was called to order.
GENERAL
BUSINESS:
The Selectmen received a letter from the

Charles (Chuck) Graybill made a motion that per the
letter received from the
Town Common Flowers:
MOTION:
Charles (Chuck) Graybill made a motion that the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen accept and pay the invoices received from the Dunbarton Garden Club in the amounts of $55.30 for the Library Urns and Whiskey Barrel and $108.00 for the flowers which Donna Dunn purchased for around the statue of Caleb Stark and the Stone Watering Trough. (Donna Dunn to be reimbursed) Les Hammond seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
WELFARE:
The Welfare Director reported that Margaret Venator, Deputy Welfare Director, will be attending the Welfare Seminar to be held on June 23, 2005 in place of the Welfare Director.
Road Built “At Risk”
Mark Desmarais appeared before the Board regarding
the road for his subdivision on
Mark Desmarais stated he would like to build the
road “at-risk”. He stated he would like
to clean up the front area so it is not a problem for the neighbors. He stated he would like to take care of the
erosion problem. He would like to build
the road to the end of
Mark Desmarais stated he would only be building the
road for the first lot within the subdivision.
He said he would like to build a house for himself on the first
lot.
The Selectmen noted that for the Keefe “at-risk”
project, the Town Engineer did spot checking at the applicant’s cost to make
sure the road standards were met. This
is the way it would have to be handled if Selectmen agreed to allowing the road
to be built “at-risk”.
The Selectmen stated that they would check with Kenneth Swayze, Building Department, to see what the situation is and how it should be handled.
The Selectmen made no decision re Mark Desmarais request.
Former LeClerc (Town) Property on
Mark Desmarais
stated he was interested in purchasing the parcel on
The Selectmen
pointed out that according to Town vote/authorization at the 1994 Town Meeting,
the Selectmen must follow certain procedures prior to disposing of Town
Lands. The Planning Board and the
Conservation Commission must review the parcels prior to sale. In addition, the property shall be conveyed
by deed following a public auction, or the property may be sold by advertised
sealed bids, or may be otherwise disposed of as justice may require, pursuant
to RSA 80:80.

MOTION:
Mert Mann made a motion that the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m. Les Hammond seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
