                        Chuck Graybill

                        Mert Mann

                        Janice VandeBogart, Town Administrator

Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm.

The board reviewed and signed applications for appointment for fire wardens and deputy fire wardens.  For the record, the fire warden is Jon Wiggin; deputy wardens are Louis Marcou, Peter Montgomery, John Swindlehurst, III, Fred Mullen and Patrick Bowne.   These appointments are appointments from the State of New Hampshire.

The Selectmen reviewed a letter received from Wayne Bracy in regard to Old Mill Brook Road (see attached).  The board will have to review the legal background regarding speed limit signs and information on road signs and the turn around.  They will get back to Mr. Bracy as soon as possible.

The Board reviewed a request from Chairman Larry Cook to have Lot E2-01-05 be  designated as conservation land, being a lot off Everett Dam Road containing 7.3 acres.  It was pointed out that this lot abuts the Kuncanowet Town Forest land.  Mert Mann made the motion that it was the consensus of the Board of Selectmen that lot E2-01-05, acquired for non payment of taxes in 2003, be made part of the Kuncanowet Town Forest, with their concurrence and acceptance.  John Swindlehurst seconded the motion and the motion carried.

Supervisor of the Transfer Station, Patrick Bowne, left word with the Selectmen that he had been in touch with Public Service in regard to the installation of  another street light at the Transfer Station and they told him that the town would have to have one pole installed at a cost of $660.00 and it would cost $13.50 per month for service.  The Selectmen approved this.

Patrick Bowne also had left a message for the Selectmen letting them know that the old Dodge pick up truck had to be towed in for repairs.  The front axel let go, the ring pinions need replacing along with the spider gears.

The Board of Selectmen authorized the purchase of maple syrup from Eric Hodgman to be presented as gifts to the Partners for Peace delegation from Russia who are scheduled to visit our town meeting on March 8th.

Lori Davis had questions regarding her requests under the right to know law.  She was directed to contact the fire chief with her questions.

Lori Davis asked if the board scrutinized applications for positions before they are appointed, stating the an appointee as deputy fire warden had criminal  charges pending against him.  The Selectmen stated that a person is innocent until proven guilty.  Also, it was pointed out that the personnel policy is only in effect while that person is working for the town.

Chuck Graybill made a motion to adjourn at 7:35 pm.  Motion passed and meeting was adjourned.
