DUNBARTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MINUTES OF MEETING
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2005
TOWN OFFICES – 7:00 P.M.
The regularly scheduled weekly meeting of the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen was held at the above time, date and place with Acting Chairman Mert Mann presiding. Mert Mann called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. The following were present:

The Selectmen reviewed correspondence and signed checks prior to the Public Meeting was called to order.
The Selectmen also reviewed and signed the minutes from the previous Selectmen’s Meeting of November 3, 2005.
JANICE VANDEBOGART, TOWN
ADMINISTRATOR:
New Tax Rate:
1. Stated that Janice VandeBogart, Janet Plamondon, Les Hammond, Selectman, Mert Mann, Selectman, Brian Little, School Board and Sandra Rourke from the Department of Revenue met on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the Department of Revenue to determine the new tax rate.
New Tax Rate as follows:
School Portion 9.05
State 2.39
County 2.03
Town
1.89
$ 15.36 New Tax Rate
Tax are due on
December 20, 2005

It was noted for the record that Charles (Chuck) Graybill was out of
Town.

Stated that she was working on the Workmen’s Compensation Insurance
premiums. There are two companies. Primex which the Town is presently insured
with and New Hampshire Municipal Association.
If the Town does not renew with Primex and goes with another insurance
company, there will be a penalty cost.
At this point, it is not known what the penalty or the cost of another
insurance company will be.
Selectmen noted that if the cost for another company
is more reasonable for the Town after the penalty, then the Town should
consider another carrier.
Janice VandeBogart will call the companies first
thing Monday morning to get quotes, etc.

Estimates have been received for the repainting of the Mack Truck at
the Transfer Station as follows:
MOTION:
Les Hammond made a motion that the Dunbarton Board
of Selectmen accept the estimate from Merrill Truck and Coach, LLC in the
amount of $1,276.00 for the repainting of the Mack Truck from the Transfer
Station. McDevitt will pay ½ of the
total amount of $1,276. Mert Mann
seconded the motion. The motion passed
unanimously.

Ken Swayze, Building Department, has interviewed Kyle Parker,
MOTION:
Les Hammond made a motion that the Dunbarton Board
of Selectmen hire Kyle Parker, Contoocook, NH as part-time

VALLANCOURT, RECREATION COMMISSION:
1. Recreation Commission Bylaws
Kim Vallancourt, Chairman, Recreation Commission, appeared before the Board of Selectmen. She presented a copy of the new Recreation Commission Bylaws for their signature. She requested they read the bylaws and sign them if they agreed.
Selectmen read and agreed with the Bylaws and signed
the Bylaws in the appropriate place.
2. Old Home Day
Kim stated the Recreation Commission felt Old Home Day was very successful. They will plan to have Old Home Day the third Saturday in the month of September each year.
Kim stated she learned a lot and has thoughts for
next year.
Kim stated the only money involved was for the
fireworks. There was no Town
Appropriation. They sent a letter to
about 50 businesses throughout the Town for donations and received considerable
money from both businesses and private individuals.
3. Scheduling of Community
Center Gym
Kim Vallancourt stated she was able to work with the new Principal of the School, Mr. Rogers regarding scheduling of the Gym for the Basketball Program. The After School Program will relocate to the upstairs of the school at 5:00 p.m. leaving the Gym available for Basketball.

BUSINESS:
Possible Use of Church
Facilities for Town Board Meetings:
It was noted that Janice VandeBogart/Les Hammond
will proceed with discussions with the two churches regarding use of their
facilities for Town for Board Meetings, etc. thus freeing up space in the Town
Offices.
Historical Society Barn Survey:
Mert Mann reported that the Historical Society had a meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at the Town Offices regarding the Barn Survey which members of the Society are working on. He noted that members would be requesting property maps, etc. from the Town Office.
MOTION:
Les Hammond made a motion that the Dunbarton Board
of Selectmen adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Mert
Mann seconded the motion. The motion
passed unanimously.
