DUNBARTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MINUTES OF MEETING
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13 2005
TOWN OFFICES – 7:00 P.M.
The regularly scheduled weekly meeting of the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen was held at the above time, date and place with Chairman Charles Graybill presiding. Charles (Chuck) Graybill called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The following were present:

The Selectmen reviewed correspondence and signed checks prior to the Public Meeting was called to order.
GENERAL
BUSINESS:
Janice VandeBogart, Town
Administrator, presented the following items for discussion, etc.:
Pedestrian Crossing Sign
Removal:
1.
She stated the sign which is across from the former Blomquist residence
at the intersection of
Selectmen signed the letter to DOT.
Charles (Chuck) Graybill also noted there is a
utility pole on
Les Hammond stated that he would call Public Service
Company to schedule removal.
Town Snow Blower:
2. Janice stated that Mike Underwood has taken the snow blower in for service. It needed a bearing. He noted the machine was in good working order but this will probably be the last winter for it. It is 6-8 years old. Would like to possibly get a smaller one which would be easier to maneuver. Possibly cost between $1,200 - $2,000.
Selectmen will consider replacement in next year’s
budget.
Handicapped Bathroom for Town
Office:
3. Janice reported she had called the previous low bid contractor which started the bathroom project. To date, he has not returned any funds. She stated she informed him that if the Town does not receive a check by October 19, 2005, the Town Attorney will be notified. The contractor has requested written verification as to the amount of funds which should be returned to the Town. Janice has faxed him a letter and also sent a letter via certified mail stating the amount to be returned. ($4,495)
OTHER
BUSINESS:
1.
Les Hammond requested that the window air conditioner in the third
meeting room be either taken in or covered.
It was noted that the air conditioner usually is covered in the winter
months.
2.
Selectmen asked if anyone had come to check on the roof tiles problem
at the Town Hall. To date, no one has
looked at it.
3.
Gelinas Subdivision is on the agenda for the Planning Board for
Wednesday, October 19, 2005.
Charles (Chuck) Graybill noted that the Planning Board should be sure to clarify the situation regarding a verbal agreement with Bruce Merrill, representing the Gorham Pond Association, to allow access to Gorham Pond over the Gelinas property to remove debris, etc. from the dam and to monitor the dam.

It was noted that Wendy Dailey, President of the Dunbarton Historical
Society, has requested a meeting next Thursday evening with the Selectmen along
with the Trustees of the Dunbarton Historical Society. There is no subject for the meeting at this
point.

MOTION:
Mert Mann made a motion that the Dunbarton Board of Selectmen adjourn at 8:10 p.m. The motion was seconded by Les Hammond. The motion passed unanimously.
