BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MINUTES OF MEETING

JANUARY 2, 2003

Present:          Chuck Graybill, Chair

7:00 p.m.,Other Business: 

Janice indicated that the Recreation and Cemetery Commissions are both requesting the same funding as last year.  The only change with the Cemetery Commission is that they will bid out maintenance costs.  Chuck suggested inviting Mike and Sons to bid.  J.R. indicated that the fireworks display for Old Home Day will cost the same.

Janice indicated that when the snowplow has to turn around in a particular driveway, the mirrors have been breaking.

7:30 p.m.  Steve Abbott, reporter for the Goffstown News

Steve was invited to ask questions of the Selectmen.  Steve questioned the feasibility of not having expiration dates on site plan approvals.  He was referring to the approvals of a store/restaurant at Page's Corner from 1993.  Janice gave Steve a copy of the plan.  Chuck indicated that Steve could refer to the minutes of the Selectmen's meeting of 12/19/02, at which similar questions arose.  Steve felt that changes to the surrounding area should warrant the State coming to look at the site to study traffic patterns, necessity of turn off lanes...

8:45 p.m., J.R. motioned, which was seconded by Chuck, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried.
