                        Les Hammond

                        Janice VandeBogart, Town Administrator

7:00 p.m. Other Business:

Janice requested that the Town Offices be closed at 1 p.m. on Thursdays to allow the staff to complete their work, particularly the work involved in preparation of Thursday evenings Selectmen's meetings.  The Board approved this request.

Janice discussed the possibility of selling old Town Reports that were found at the Town Offices, at the Old Home Day auction.

The Goffstown Town Administrator  called regarding the confirming of Town boundaries on 5/9.  She is looking for someone to accompany their Town officials.  Janice will ask if it needs to be a Selectman, and if not, ask John Swindlehurst II if he is interested in this assignment.

7:30 p.m.  Road Hearing, Jan VandeBogart -  re:  2002 projects.

Two townspeople were in attendance.  Jan inquired about the optimum time to pave Mansion Rd. due to Jim Marcou's tentative plans for his subdivision.  No decision was made.  A discussion of upcoming projects (see attached Notice of Public Hearing).  Rick Jones of Long Pond Rd. asked where the culvert is to be replaced on Long Pond Rd. An idea about talking with the State about what they may be willing to do regarding Holmes Rd. took place.  Jan will meet with the bus company and principal of DES regarding the Kimball Pond Rd. turnaround.   There were no other questions or comments on work.

8 p.m.  Les moved to close the public hearing, which was seconded by J.R.  The motion carried.

8 p.m.  Joe and Frances Sowle, re:  Holmes Rd.

The Sowles were given a letter written by the Board confirming last week's discussion regarding landowners' rights to maintain their sides of the road.  See attached letter.   Joe plans on doing some cutting of brush on Rt. 13 and inquired about hiring a police officer.

8:40 p.m. Les made a motion, which was seconded by Les, to adjourn the meeting.  The motion carried.
