TOWN OF DUNBARTON

BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MINUTES OF MEETING

January 10, 2002

Present:  J.R. Swindlehurst, Chair

                                Chuck Graybill

Les Hammond

                                Janice VandeBogart, Town Adminstrator

7:00 pm Tim Mihoy and Tim Langley

The above-referenced men came in to express their displeasure that Rangeway Road was not being plowed.  It was explained that because Mr. Mihoy had obstructed the area where the trucks turn around, they were unable to plow.  Mr. Mihoy agreed that he would be happy to remove his lawn furniture from the area so that the town trucks could have a turn around.

7:10pm  J.R. Swindlehurst motioned, which was seconded by Chuck, to go into Nonpublic Session pursuant to RSA 91-A; 3, 1 (e) with the Board of Assessors, including Brian Little, Brian Clark, as well as George Sansoucy and Attorney Tim Britain.  The motion passed.  A discussion concerning a legal issue took place.

Chuck made a motion, which was seconded by Les to end the Nonpublic Session at 8:30pm.  The motion passed.

8:35 pm Jon Wiggin

Jon came in to review the Fire Department’s budget for 2001 and a proposed 2002 budget (see attached), Jon indicated that runs went over 200 for the first time in 2001 with runs of 219.

A discussion concerning re-siding the fire station and repairing / replacing the ceiling ensued.

9:00 pm Mike Bergeron, Mr. Ewans and Jan VandeBogart

The above-referenced individuals came in to discuss the Ewans property on County Road, upgrading of the road, clearing of trees/stonewall to make the road 20 feet wide and the timing of the road for building permit and occupancy permit.  The Board will send a letter, allowing him to widen the road and stating the stipulations for his being granted an occupancy permit.

Fore the record:   The Board of Selectmen made the following statements for the record:   (Due to incorrect information in the Goffstown News and in the Bow Times)

                                 1. Regarding the Weston Subdivision, the total acres involved is 67 acres, NOT 21 acres.

 2. This area of town is a THREE acre minimum with 250 feet of road frontage, 40 ft setbacks.

3. Everett Road is a Class V to the swimming hold then six to 200 feet west of lot #1 & #2.

 4. The road was discontinued and abandoned from that point to Mansion Road.

The Board also noted for the record that the Department of Revenue was out on December 26, 2001 looking for the paper work on the Sales Ratio for the town.  The paperwork, which is to be prepared by the Board of Assessors, has not yet been completed.  There was also a complain that a taxpayer was looking for his abatement and had not received it as yet.  This was due to the fact that the Board of Assessors had not let the town office know of the abatement and it was not done in a timely manner.
