TOWN OF DUNBARTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN March 22, 2001 Present: J.R. Swindlehurst, Chair Chuck Graybill Les Hammond Janice Jelley, Town Administrator 7:00 Chuck Graybill made a motion, which was seconded by Les Hammond, to appoint J.R. Swindlehurst as Chairman of the Board of Selectmen. The motion passed. 7:15 Terry Franceour came in and delivered a written request to be appointed to the Recreation Commission. 7:30 Janice raised the question of tape recording the meetings of various committees and Board meetings. Janice will poll area towns. 7:35 George Holt and Ken Swayze came in to discuss an Administrative Order from Richard Reed, Administrator of Solid Waste, concerning the Coleman and Drobat property. Richard Reed will be requested to attend the next meeting. 8:05 Chuck made a motion to appoint Brian Nordle to the Planning Board as an alternate member, with the term to expire March , 2003, which was seconded by Les. The motion passed. Other Business: The Board discussed the establishment of a committee to study the proposed renovation to the town hall building. Les moved that the Selectmen’s rep to the Planning Board be Chuck, which was seconded byJ.R. The motion passed. Les moved that Jon Wiggin be appointed as the Emergency Management Director for a term of one year, which was seconded by J.R The motion passed. Chuck made a motion to appoint Irene Thalheimer as Deputy Tax Collector for a three year term, which was seconded by Les. The motion passed. Chuck made a motion to appoint John Turner as Asst Building Inspector, for a two year term, which was seconded by Les. The motion passed. Les moved to appoint AlisonVallieres, to the Zoning Board of Adjustment, for a three year term, which was seconded by Chuck. Les moved that Dave Nault be appointed as an alternate to the Zoning Board , for a three year term, which was seconded by Chuck. The motion passed . Chuck made a motion to appoint the following to the Highway Safety Committee for a one year term: Jeff Nelson, J.R. Swindlehurst, Jon Wiggin, and Jan Van de Bogart, which was seconded by Les. Motion passed. Chuck motioned that the following be appointed to the Historical Awareness Committee, for a three year term: Henry Burnham, Betty Noyes, and Pricscilla Reinertsen, which was seconded by Les.
