Meeting Minutes

April 6, 2004

Meeting called to order at 7:00pm. Meeting had all members present: Terry jelly, Patrick Bowne, and Richard Schaeffer. Contract was presented to Ron Boynton for signatures. Patrick abstained from signing the contracts. Motion made to amend minutes from last month about Richard not knowing any of the contractors that put bids in for mowing. Motion was seconded and passed.

Fence in the Center Cemetery was broken last week due to a wind storm. Talk was presented about what to do about fixing the fence. Trustees themselves do not have time to fix it. Trustees went outside to examine fence and walk the cemetery. TJ will handle getting estimates for the fence repairs.

Rich put in a request for a Cemetery Trustees manual. TJ will look into putting one together. Manual will have names and numbers of various contacts. Manual will also contain directions for how to do cremations and burials.

American Legion would like to have working copies of cemetery maps. Would make it easier to find where the veterans are located.

Motion was made, seconded, and passed to have the cemeteries open, tentatively on May 1, 2004. The opening will be dependent upon the weather conditions.
