When an application for General Assistance is filled out and submitted to the Welfare Department, please be aware it could take up to 72 hours to receive a decision regarding eligibility. Past due payments are the responsibility of the applicant. If you have received a past-due notice or notice of disconnect please contact your utility company directly to arrange a payment plan. The Town of Dunbarton Welfare Office does not pay for back rent or past due bills.
The Dunbarton Congregational Church maintains a Food Pantry for Dunbarton residents located on the second floor of the Vestry directly across the street from the Town Offices on Rt. 13.
