Common Project

We have been working on a Department of Transportation Enhancement Grant to address safety concerns in the area of the Dunbarton Elementary School and Town Common. The grant will provide for sidewalks (granite curbing) from the school up to and around the Town Common. It will allow for re-alignment of Robert Rogers Road and period lighting fixtures to add limited lighting.

There have been some excellent ideas regarding the development of the Town Common area and we feel it is our responsibility to plan for the future safety needs of our community. To that end we are introducing this plan. We have already had one public hearing regarding this plan and will have more opportunities to solicit feedback. To help create the opportunity to offer input we are adding this plan to our web-page. These are some of the basic documents, but we are anxiously some new architectural designs from a community volunteer which will do a much better job of representing the vision for this area.
