7:00 p.m.  Meeting called to order.  Preliminary figures for expanding the capabilities of the Transfer Station were discussed.  All agreed that it has become increasingly obvious after this past years that the current packer and accessories have not been able to handle the amount of refuse generated by the Town as a whole.  By renting old, out-of-date equipment we are wasting money, traffic is backing up during service hours and we have frequently had to go to the open top trailer to handle the overflow.  The members have come to the conclusion the layout and equipment at the Transfer Station must be enhanced to handle the present and future demands that will be placed on it.  The Transfer Station layout and required equipment was discussed and will be more clearly defined at the next meeting.

 

            The date of the next meeting was set for January 13, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
