Motion made and approved to accept minutes of April meeting.

Public Comment:  Draft of Recreation’s Policies and Procedures was handed out.

Beth and Larry Beaugeard, Linda and Bill Morse and Brian Pike expressed opinions on items in the Policies and Procedures draft.  They felt a term limit for the Program Coordinators would be appropriate.  They agree with the message but would like to see “encourage” rather than “teach” in the Parent Code of Conduct”.  They felt the consequences for technical fouls was too strict and that the late fee was too high.  They also want to know if there is a more competitive opportunity for some of the kids without the high cost and time commitment of AAU Basketball.

Old Home Day:  Annie C. will speak with Nancy Lang to find out the new date and what our role is.

Shed:  Shed was completed during April and is ready to be used.  Rec will send thank-you to Outdoor Storage Solutions.

Electrical/ Benches:  Rec received a bid o f $650 from Dodd Electric and will contract with them to start the electrical work.

Trips:   Kim V. is booking trip to Foxwoods for Sat. Sept. 25.  Cost will be 20/person – upon arrival each person will receive $10 food coupon and $10 Keno$.

Anticipate trip to Yankee Candle on Oct. 23rd.

Rec received a thank you note from the After School Program for the donation of markers.

Work session:  A work session for the Policies and Procedures will be held on June 5 at 6pm at the Dunbarton Elementary School..

The June meeting will  be on June 17th at 7:30 at the Dunbarton Elementary School.
