OLD BUSINESS:

Kimball Pond “Clean-up Day”

On June 14, 2003, L. Cook, B. St. Clair, D. Jarvis, G. Holt, R. Jarvis and M. Watkins removed trash along Legache Hill Rd. and Kimball Pond Rd, inspected the dam as required, and discussed possible future parking sites along Kimball Pond Rd.

Kimball Pond Management Plan

A date for a second public hearing should be decided upon at the commission’s August meeting. The commission’s preferred options should be presented to those attending the hearing. Addressed in the options should be the long term plan for the house, a solution to the ongoing problems along Legache Hill Road and the types and scope of recreational usages appropriate for the area.

Local projects/Wetlands Bureau updates

Poirier subdivision (Grapevine/Guinea Rd.) - On June 19, 2003, L. Cook, G. Holt, M. Lavey and M. Watkins walked the site. L. Cook submitted the commission’s comments to the Wetlands Bureau.

NEW BUSINESS:

Master Plan Steering Committee

Steering Committee representatives addressed the commission and requested that a Conservation Commission member join the soon to be formed planning group. M. Watkins volunteered.
