MEMBERS ABSENT: R. Jarvis, R. Simard, M. Watkins
MINUTES: November’s minutes accepted (December’s meeting was cancelled)
OLD BUSINESS:
Ken Swayze and Gerry Gerdes presented an overview of the December 19th meeting held in Concord. At that meeting were representatives of the Department of Environmental Services (DES) for the state, ESMI’s lawyers, Attorney Gregg Smith, representing Mr. Drobat and Attorney Steve Duggin (Ransmeier and Spellman) whom acted as Dunbarton’s legal counsel.
Conservation Commission (CC) members then discussed the odds of successfully overturning the state’s settlement agreement and the legal fees that would result in an attempt to do so. A final decision regarding the appeal was postponed.
Margaret Watkins drafted a letter stating our concerns. Our Selectmen signed the letter which requested help with master planning and protecting open space.
Rental property
Scott Warriner has leased the house for a year. Brett St. Clair stated that the wording in the lease has made Scott responsible for much of the dwelling’s maintenance. Brett will remain Scott’s first contact if any problems arise and will work with the Selectmen to clarify the remaining issues.
