CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

 

DATE: January 14, 2004

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Cook, Darlene Jarvis, Jacques Belanger, George Holt, Ron Jarvis, Matt Lavey

MEMBERS ABSENT: Brett St. Clair, Margaret Watkins

 

MINUTES: December’s minutes were accepted

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Gravel pit off of Kimball Pond Road

 

Ron Jarvis has now walked the site with Bob Lee, James Williamson and Guy Doucette.  Guy Doucette has yet to submit an estimate.  (Decision to be made at next meeting)   

 

Annual report

 

Larry Cook stated that he has been granted an extension and asked members present to review his first draft.  Larry noted the suggestions made by members and will revise the report.

 

Status of local project/Wetland Bureau updates

 

DiPietro Homes (Stark Lane/Mansion Road) – a letter has been sent to Jeff Blecharczyk (NH Wetlands Bureau) expressing the CC’s concerns regarding the latest application information provided by DiPietro Homes

 

Scenic Roads

 

George Holt suggested that the commission revisit the subject at the next meeting.  George feels the scenic values of selected roads could be better protected if a “road policy” is put forth by the planning committee currently working to develop a master plan for the town.
