CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Cook, Darlene Jarvis, Mel Gendron, George Holt, Ron Jarvis, Rick Kiah, Matt Lavey, Mark Wamser

 

MEMBERS ABSENT: Brett St. Clair, Stan Sowle, Margaret Watkins

 

MINUTES: June’s minutes were accepted (Commission did not meet in July)

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Status of local projects/Wetland Board updates

 

NH Traditional Homes (Grapevine Road) - DES asked for additional information, DES will schedule a site visit

 

Dahlberg (Black Rook Road, former Alton property) - developer will plan for 125’ buffer from boundary of the Wetland Conservation District per George Holt

 

NEW BUSINESS: 

 

Pike development (Rt. 13, currently the golf course)

 

Bob Pike met with the commission regarding his planned 88 unit development  fielded  questions from the commission.  Mr. Pike asked if the commission would draft a letter stating that the board will accept the conservation easement.  Larry Cook will obtain a copy of the easement in order to review its wording before the commission accepts the easement.  Brett St. Clair volunteered to draft the requested letter.

 

George Holt asked Mr. Pike to invite the commission to the preconstruction meeting.
