DUNBARTON CENTER BUILDING COMMITTEE

Minutes - October 21, 2003

Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm.

1. DCBC interviewed the following Construction Management Firms:

6:00 Fulcrum Associates - Nashua, NH

7:00 Bauen Corp. - Meredith, NH

8:00 Brookstone Builders, Inc. - Manchester, NH

9:00 Bonnette Page & Stone Corp. - Laconia, NH

Interviews consisted of each firm providing a brief description of their company and their approach to our project followed up with a question and answer period. Committee members asked numerous questions designed to clarify their proposals and to get a feel for the nature of the firms.

2. Following the final interview, the Committee deliberated and discussed the merits of the four finalists. Although there was a general consensus that each firm was qualified to do the work, the Committee felt that Bonnette Page & Stone (BPS) was the most appropriate construction manager for the project. Norm made a motion to recommend BPS to the Selectmen, Carl seconded, vote was all in favor - motion passed.

3. Jeff will prepare a written recommendation for the selectmen on behalf of DCBC. Dan and Jeff will present to Selectmen on Thursday, October 23. Jeff will call each firm Wednesday morning to inform them of the DCBC decision and request BPS to attend the next meeting on November 3, 2003.

4. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 pm.
