Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm.
1. Proposals were received on Thursday, October 9 from the following 8 firms:
·
Bauen Corp. - Meredith, NH
·
Bonnette Page & Stone Corp. - Laconia, NH
·
Brookstone Builders, Inc. - Manchester, NH
·
Brown Engineering, LLC - Pittsfield, NH
·
Eclipse Construction, Inc. - Bedford, NH
·
Esprit Corp. - Bow, NH
·
Fulcrum Associates - Nashua, NH

Glen Builders, Inc. - North Conway, NH
2. Jeff passed out copies of matrix prepared by DMPA containing key information from the proposals. The Committee review each proposal and discussed merits. Brown was eliminated immediately as their proposal was not responsive to our RFP. Eclipse and Esprit were deemed not appropriate for our needs. Of the remaining five firms, the Committee chose to interview Bauen and decided to interview not more than three out of the remaining four depending on their response to follow-up questions. Priority and questions are as follows:
·
BPS Will
they waive $5,000 preconstruction services fee if project does not pass at Town
Meeting?
·
Brookstone Will
they agree to return 100% GMP savings to Town?
·
Fulcrum Will
they provide a fixed CM fee rather than 5-7% range and will they return 100%
GMP savings to Town?
·
Glen Are
they proposing to charge $3,600 - $5,600 for preconstruction services and, if
so, are they willing to waive the fee if project does not pass at Town Meeting.
Jeff will make phone calls tomorrow (Wednesday)
and report results and interview schedule back to DCBC by email.
Follow up: BPS,
Brookstone and Fulcrum all answered the questions satisfactorily and were
placed on the short list for interviews along with Bauen. Glen and the other three firms were notified
of their unselected status via telephone by Jeff and letter from DMPA.
3. DCBC approved DMPA Invoice #2 for payment in the amount of $2,000.
4. Meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm.
