The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by co-chair Dan
Gobin.
It was noted that the purpose of this meeting was to
interview architects.
It was noted that Jeff Trexler would be abstaining from
voting on the architect selection.
During the interviews, Jeff would be sitting in the public seating and
not discussing the candidates. (See letter in official archives.)
7:35 - 8:15 Presentation by Dennis Mires, P. A. “The Architects” of Manchester, NH. Dennis Mires and John Urdi of the Mires Firm
provided a presentation of the about the firms experience and a plan for how
the firm would go forward with the project if selected, and answered numerous
questions.
7:45 - 8:30 Committee took a brief recess.
8:30 - 9:15 Presentation by Jordan & Barker LLP,
Architects of Concord, NH (J&B).
Kyle Barker and John Jordan provided a presentation of the about the
firms experience and history as well as prior experience with other
architectural firms and answered numerous questions.
After the J&B interview a general discussion was held
about the merits of each candidate.
Upon final vote the committee voted 6 to 1 to recommend to
the Dunbarton Selectmen that the town retain Dennis Mires, P. A. “The Architects” of Manchester, NH to
provide architectural services as described in the DCBC request for
proposals.
At this time, JT rejoined the committee.
DG stated that he had reserved time with Selectmen for
Thursday June 5 at 8:30 to present the DCBC recommendation. Committee members accepted a draft of the
recommendation letter that had been previously circulated by E-mail.
It was agreed that DG, JT would meet with the Selectmen
along with any other members who wanted to attend.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
