DCBC Meeting Minutes: May 5,

The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
JT
introduced NR as our newest member to the committee. He is on the library board
of trustees.
DG
sent out an updated DCBC member list.
JT
handed out copies to the request for proposal to solicit Professional Design
Services. The committee reviewed the document and discussed various
terminologies surrounding the building process. JT noted that the proposal will not include any road work to
Robert Rodgers Road. DG will make the appropriate document changes to be
submitted to the selectmen Thursday night, May 8. The official proposal will include copied of the architectural
plans done under the DCPC.

handed out copies of the Notice: Request for Proposal to appear in the Bow
Times, Concord Monitor, and the Leader. It will be submitted to the Town Admin
on Thursday.

handed out copies of a proposed press release announcing the official start of
the DCBC. It is to appear in the Bow Times. DCBC reviewed the announcement and
added the DCBC will have a public forum and public hearing sometime before the
next Town Meeting.
The
DCBC discussed meeting schedules. It was decided to have them on the first and
third Monday of the month at 7:30pm.
DCBC
reviewed last meeting’s minutes. JT motioned to accept the minutes as changed.
DG seconded the motion as amended. CM
will work with the Web Master to create our new DCBC WEB page. CM will submit
the minutes to be posted on the DCBC web page.
DG/DN
meet with Chief Nelson to discuss Robert Rogers Rd. The Chief is working on a
Federal Safety Grant be used to straighten Robert Rogers Rd. and add sidewalks
from the School to the Town Library.
DG/DN offered to assist Chief Nelson in his efforts to complete the
Grant request before the filing date: End of August.
DG
received a proposal from a construction company offering to renovate the Town
Offices. JT will make sure to thank the company for the offer.
CG
reported that the selectmen have confirmed the DCBC and the members will need
to be sworn in by the Town Clerk.

reviewed upcoming dates:
May
23, 2003 – Proposals from the Architect firms are due at the Town Offices
JT
handed out a document: Hiring an Architect.
All
